Hooray for pdfcreator, and where is the right place to submit issues?

Hi!

1. pdfcreator is the best program, ever ;) We absolutely love it, and we think it's far superiour to other (commercial) pdf printer products. So hooray for Philip and crew!

2. It looks like we found a possible subtle rendering (?) issue in pdfcreator 0.9.2 (and .0,.1) in which monospaced fonts which are bolded become slightly un-monospaced. We're printing a table with 'box' characters, and it comes out fine under Windows printing and pdfFactory pro, but column alignment is slightly off for rows with bold text under pdfcreator. We'd really like to switch to pdfcreator, so we'd like to submit the issue... so:

3. Where should we submit the issue? Here at pdfforge, or on the sourceforge site?

Thanks,

Andrew

PDFCreator is only a ghostscript wrapper. Possible that you found a ghostscript bug. Which ghostscript version have you in use? AFPL or GPL?

Oh, duh, right. It's PDFCreator 0.9.1 with AFPL. Huh, I guess that means I should submit it to the AFPL folks since the issue must be in the AFPL renderer vs the pdfFactory pro renderer.

That makes PDFCreator come out even better ;)

Thanks Frank.

Version 0.9.1 uses AFPL Ghostscript 8.53
Version 0.9.2 uses AFPL Ghostscript 8.54

You should try version 0.9.2.

I upgraded to PDFCreator 0.9.2/AFPL Ghostscript 8.54 and it's still a problem. So I've submitted a bug to AFPL. Thanks for the help! (for references, it's http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=688781)
