I just sent a pdf to a printer and they said that all fonts were not embedded. Fonts I had specifically selected were listed in the font list (upon review of the newly created pdf) before sending as "custom", but fonts that I had not specifically chosen: Times New Roman, Times Italic, Symbol - were listed as "standard", and were the ones that prevented them from setting up the doc.
The custom fonts had True-Type logos next to them, and the standard fonts had a different logo - like a @ sign.
How can I fix this to embed ALL fonts at the time of creation?
In the prefernces, I did select "embed all fonts, and I also deselected the percentage option.
What did I miss?
Thanks,
Tony
It took me forever to figure out how to properly get the fonts embedded. If first found this guy's website that does some explaining about several PDF options: http://athleticaid.com/yaquinapress/PDF-FAQ.html. I downloaded the official Adobe Distiller postscript printer and ppd file, which lead me to realize that the options for printing are basically the same. I know that this fix for embedding fonts works.
This will give a good overview of pdf creation software:

The most important, and most relevant to this subject is this image:

Make sure and set TrueType fonts to download as softfonts and make sure the postscript is optimized for portability.
