PDF creator will print doc. but will not create PDF nor will it give a change to save as pdf

I open PDf creator, click Add, find the Doc file I need to creator a pdf for, I click open and the document opens brifely and prints the doc. but then it closes and I still have no pdf of the doc. I repaired the pdf software and tried it again. It works for one doc. but then goes back to the old problem. Any ideas!
