bug with install

I must have installed PDFCreator previously with an earlier version. (can't recall version) On install 0-9-2 receive message: "The programme is installed already. For a new installation uninstall the program first. The setup will be cancelled." I was able to uninstall thru Windows Control Panel. (running XP Pro) However on then trying to re-install - I receive same message - and I can't further uninstall. Stumped!!

Thanks thesmileyface but how do you change that parameter in xp pro ?
I can't find that paramater so I can't change it.Would you agree tell me where is it and the way to change it ?
