Hi All!
Error message:
c:\windows\system32\mscomctl.ocx
An error occured while trying to replace the existing file.
DeleteFile failed; code 32.
...is in use by another process...
My options: Abort Retry Ignore
What should I choose and why is this file being replaced?
Thanks!
The setup says "Please close all application before you start the installation process"!!!
There is one application that uses this file. The best wayis you cancel the setup, close all applications (or reboot) and start the installation again.

sorry for my english!
I have just downloaded PDFCreator and I am getting the same error. I have read the replies above and they do not seem very helpful. I have no other processes running during the install attempt. I have also read what documents exist on site and see no solution to this. As for Josef's suggestion, I am sorry but I don't understand what he recommends.
I am running WindowsXP Home SP2 on a desktop PC. I also have the full MS Office Pro suite installed and wonder if this is causing the problem. If it is, is there a solution?
I am a layman here not a developer or open source expert so if you can explain things simply, I would appreciate it. Help would be gratefully received.

I didn't realize there are forums on the SourceForge site. I searched in those forums and discovered it is my SpywareGuard that is causing the problem. Once I figured out how to shut it down (used the Spybot S&D programme), I rebooted and the PDFCreator installation proceeded without any problem. I then started up SpywareGuard (again used Spybot), rebooted and the programme seems to be running fine.
