Clipping a portion of a pdf file

Hi everyone

I am trying to generate a pdf file with a small section of a page from another pdf. I thought that one way it could be done was by printing the document from Adobe Reader using a custom paper size and negative offsets but that field does not accept negative values.

e.g. if I want to print a 2"x2" square from the centre of a Letter size page I could set the custom paper size to 2"x2" and the offsets to -3.25" ((8.5-2)/2) and -4.5" ((11-2)/2).

Would it be technically possible to allow a negative value in those fields? If not, is there any other way to accomplish this?
