AutoSave problem

Using Autosave option, I type in RentDocument in the namefield (instead of the default date/time) and select the folder C:\Rent and click Save.
If I go out and straight back in to Autosave option, the greyed-out field shows RentDocument.pdf and the greyed-out field beneath directory shows C:\Rent\
If I print a document from my VB6 programme in order to send it by email, it doesn't find the file. On my C:\Rent folder the file is named C_Rent_RentDocument.
If I go back to Autosave option, the greyed-out field shows C_Rent_RentDocument.pdf.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing PDF, and even downloading 9.3 but it still happens.
(This is only on one machine - the others are fine (I wondered if it doesn't perhaps have something to with Windows XP settings?)
