More than one PDFCreator printer

Submitted by Asier on Tue, 2008-01-15 18:59.

Hi all

I need to have more than one PDF printer in one server, each one with his own settings (different output folders, watermarks, pre and post actions...).

I've followed the instructions at http://www.pdfforge.org/node/480/2281#comment-2281 and installed PDFcreator as a service as stated in http://www.pdfforge.org/node/292 but it doesn't work well.

The setup is like this:

  • PDFCreator installed in server mode
  • Two printers installed PDF_1 and PDF_2. I can generate PDFs with both
  • Each printer has its own INI files (PDF_1.ini, PDF_2.ini) in the folder, right to the PDFCreator.ini default file:
    C:\Documents and settings\all users\application data\

  • Each printer with his own output port and the "Application Parameters" set like this in the "Configure Port" window:

    -PPDFCREATORPRINTER
    -OptionsFile"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PDF_1.ini"

    (one line)

  • The 2nd printer port points to the appropiate INI file.
  • One PDFCreator instance running as a service under an administrator account.

The problem is that PDFCreator ignores the two specific INI files, it only reads the PDFCreator.ini file so it's like I have only one PDF printer

¿How can I force PDFCreator to use the appropiate INI files?

Thanks
