Real slow conversion for 60+ pages PDF
I am using PDFCreator to convert multi-page PDF to single TIFF files. If the PDF file has more than 60+ pages, it starts taking lots of time to load pages. First 60 pages go fine, then it starts crawling, the progress bar loads one page per 10-30 seconds. This happens when I click print and before the PDFCreator form appears.
I have tried splitting PDF files in 50 page pdfs, but then I lost page numbering. Example: 1-50 page pdf will convert fine, but when I am at 51-100 pages get overwritten and I was not able to find a way to get numbering to those pages from 51-100 (Ex: file names go from ABC1 to ABC50 each time I do that). Hence making this split PDF thing useless.
Is there any way to make this work faster and correctly. I have lots of PDF files (100+ pages) to convert.
Thanks
I tried it on 2 computers, but its still the same. No matter what format I convert to, I still have the same problem. Means going to PDF to any format gives me this slowdown. This slow down happens when I click print button and see the progress bar loading this image in print buffer. This progress bar starts crawling down, which comes before the PDFCreator settings form where we could select any format we want to convert to.
My PDFs are not that huge. Ex: 200 page PDF file is 400KB
And I am selecting Print as Image checkbox on Adobe print dialog -> Advanced page. Because if I dont do that I always get error on 3rd page (found this trick in the forums somewhere)
