Creating .pdf from .dwg

Submitted by tiffanya on Tue, 2008-05-20 21:49.

I recently installed PDF Creator and when I try to create a .pdf file from an AutoCAD drawing I end up with 3 pdf sheets instead of just one. I looked under the settings of PDF Creator and I don't see any setting that I can change to limit the number of sheets created. Does anyone know of a setting I can change? Thank you for your help.

It's in your page setup in AutoCAD. Notice how AC gives you 2 additional sheets in your paperspace? Get rid of those they're not needed. Also plot extents, with the plot as centered on the paper.

Make sure you set up one of your printers as PDF creator. Also you may have to try a couple different plot styles, but usually monochrome works best for me. All are plotters are mono anyway so I don't play with color dependent styles.

Good Luck,
J.
