Creating .pdf from .dwg

Submitted by tiffanya on Tue, 2008-05-20 21:49.

I recently installed PDF Creator and when I try to create a .pdf file from an AutoCAD drawing I end up with 3 pdf sheets instead of just one. I looked under the settings of PDF Creator and I don't see any setting that I can change to limit the number of sheets created. Does anyone know of a setting I can change? Thank you for your help.

We use 2006 but it should be much the same.

In plotter manager install PDF creator as a plotter and slect monochrome as your pen style (unless you need color printing)Then when plotting out select PDF as your plotter. Select the properties tab and select your paper size and vector printing.

For your plot area (in the plot pop up) select either 'window' for a selection of the plot or 'extents' for the entire drawing. Set your plot scale in the plot scale window. Use the 'Plot Current Tab' option for plotting what you're working on.

If you can plot to paper, you can plot to a PDF with no trouble (hopefully).

J.
