Writing PDF to write-once disk - How?

Submitted by IanDeaville on Mon, 2008-07-21 12:19.

Hi,

I posted this a few weeks ago in the Help forum, but have had no response. Maybe someone here can shed some light for me...

I have a user with PDFCreator 0.8.0[2] installed. He needs to create PDFs into a network drive to which he has write-once access. He cannot delete or modify files there. If he requests a location on this drive as the destination for the PDF, all he gets is an empty file, 0kb in size.

I have checked, and PDFCreator does have a local drive location specified for temporary files. However it still seems that PDFCreator is trying to build the PDF in the target location, rather than build it in a temporary location and then "move" it to the target location. Is this true? Any suggestions about how to make this work better?

We do not want to create the PDF to a local drive first then copy. This procedure is very frequent, so anything which adds time is unwelcome.

Many thanks,
Ian Deaville

What happen if the user use the current version 0.9.5?
