Is there a way to set a proxy server to be used by PDFCreator while executing PrintURL function?

Background:
My client application is set to use a proxy server for all HTTP requests.
When using the PDFCreator COM interface within it (i.e. PrintUrl()) to convert HTTP pages to PDF files, the proxy settings for my client application do not apply to the PDFCreator external process.
The only way I found so far to make PDFCreator use the proxy server, was to set the proxy settings on system-wide level via Internet Explorer Internet options. This solution is not acceptable for other reasons, so I am wondering if there is a way to set a proxy server for the PDFCreator itself?
