Combine single-page tiffs to multi-page with Autosave

Submitted by kenwaters on Fri, 2006-11-03 21:40.

Have a warehousing application that contains documents with multiple pages, all stored as single page tiffs, so a 5-page "document" is actually 5 separate files. Therefore when I print the "document" to the PDFCreator it goes as 5 separate print jobs. I would like to combine them into a single, multi-page (5 pages for this example), tiff file while using Autosave. Not using Autosave, the manual Combine function in PDFCreator works fine. I looked at the CombineJobs.vbs script, but don't know how to make it a tiff instead of a pdf, nor how to script it correctly to make it work. I tried the script un-edited and it keeps saying "Error [2]: An instance of PDFCreator is already running." even when the application is closed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I can make you an offer if you like.

Or you convert the tiff files to jpeg and than you use fly2pdf (no printer, no ghostscript, no PDFCreator, multithreads possible, very fast).
If you like I can make you an offer too for this solution.

Best regards,
Frank
