Bug Bounty: 150 $ for solution PDFCreator on Windows Vista

Hello,

as you all know, PDFCreator currently does not work properly under Windows Vista. The upcoming Version 0.9.5 will have basic Vista support, but the main problem has not been solved.

The problem is, that Vista has a strict security system, that does not allow the way PDFSpooler.exe tries to start PDFCreator under the context of a user.

Is there someone who has already done this under windows Vista?

We have the possibility to do this in C (not C# oder C++) oder in Visual Basic 6.

Any help, hints oder experience is appreciated here, as we have spent several days on this issue without a result.

We are offering a bounty of 150$ for the first one who can solve this.

regards,
Philip

The "merge all and send" button is not available

Greetings,

Several questions:

1. Is it possible to always have open the email toolbar ? When I close PDFCreator and open it again, the toolbar disappears, and I have to "view, toolbars, email" again;

2. Why do the "email" and "merge all and email" buttons appear greyed out (disabled) ?

Regards,
Sérgio Araújo

creating virtual printer driver

Dear PDFcreator coders,

I would like to do the inverse of what you guys are doing, which is creating an image from a PDF document using my own code. However, the similar thing is, I want my application as a virtual printer driver from a PDF reader.

So the questions are, how to create a printer driver like what you guys did?

which source code from the PDFcreator repository is the one that creates this?

Or maybe you guys can point me to the correct direction on how to do this.

Thank you thank you so much for your help. PDFcreator is awesome, used it almost everytime during my university days

Dhika

Whats The Point Of PDF Creator?

Hi all,

This may be contentious but what the heck.

I posted a request in the Help forum to try to find out a definitive, robust solution to the problem of PDFCreator hanging when cClose is executed ie one which does not rely on putting "wait" statements all over your code and hoping. I have tried everything I could think of but to no avail. There seem to be many instances of other people reporting the same issue from several versions ago but the problem still doesnt appear to be solved in the latest version (0.9.5).

If the product cant be used without hanging and there is no clear solution, whats the point of continuing distributing new versions without first fixing that?

If this cant be solved does anyone know of an alternative free solution which will work with VB macros?

Error-Nr: 75 and no automatic selection of the standard printer

Hello everybody,

we have a problem to print a document automatically.
We use a citrix presentation server with TS.
We don't use Windows Vista.
If a colleague starts a session and want to print something the failure Error-Nr.75 will print.
After that if I start the pdfcreator.exe manually there will print the documents.
The problem is that the program doesn't use the options which I configured.
How can we set so that the service of the pdf creator starts as a daemon. With a vbs script it doesn't work. but I don't know whether the script is correct.
Can somebody help me?

       thx
