There are some common problem while using, installing or uninstalling PDFCreator. For these, we have a section frequently asked questions (FAQ).

Many problems disappear, when you reinstall PDFCreator. To do so, uninstall PDFCreator and reboot afterwards. Then install PDFCreator again.

If this could not help you, please feel free to post your question in the forums. Please write your question in english, so we and other people can understand it.
If you have big problems with english, then german would be ok as well, but it could cause other people with the same problem to not understand the discussion.

PDFCreator AutoSave doesn't work if REDMON_DOCNAME is used and the docname contains %

I have figured out that PDFCreator can not autosave if REDMON_DOCNAME is used and the docname contains %. Par example: if you will print the Excel worksheet with the file name "bonus 100% caculation.xls" then it will fail. Only if you remove "%", PDFcreator can print the PDF file. Do somebody a work arround?

Problem with MSI install and Com

I am having a problem using the MSI install program. I built the .msi file using the install2go project that is in the source code, but when I use that .msi file to install PDFCreator and then try to run the Com samples I get an error that reads 'UNKNOWN ERROR [1]'. Can anybody tell what I'm doing wrong?

Downloading to a Mac?

Hi - I know I'm being very thick here but, having successfully downloaded the pdf-creator to my PC, I am now trying to download it to my Mac? but is it just a PC download? In which case, does anyone know how I can get a similar feature onto my Mac laptop?

Hello,

I have PDFCreator like Default printer. I use an external program that send some information to printer. But if I use PDFCreator always ask me the name of file. I want that this screen doesn't appear and generates the PDF directly.

Combining PDFS

How do you combine PDF documents together using the PDF Creator?

PDFCreator does not work under Vista, no Popup raises, Popup missing, no file created

Running PDFCreator 0.9.5 under Vista SP1.

Executing PDFCreator works fine, also getting the System-Tray-Icon of PDFCreator in the Taskbar.

But printing from any program to the PDFCreator printer works without showing the popup and with no error message and with out creating any (temporary) file.

Why does the popup window do not show up?

I tried to remove PDFCreator, reboot, install, and reboot several times. It still does not work.

I enabled the protocol, but the protocol file does not contain any info about any printing attempt nor an error.

How get PDFCreator to "obey" ASCII page slews (CTRL-L's)?

I have PDFCreator installed as a "printer", and it works fine, but, when "printing" pure ASCII files containing CTRL-L page-slew characters, PDFCreator simply embeds those characters in the text and merrily goes on its way creating its own default page length. Is there a way to configure or instruct PDFCreator to obey ASCII control characters when printing ASCII/.txt files?
