Developement suggestion for pdfcreator (2)

Hello!
It would be nice, when you add a new COM Feature, that sends a Windows Message to a specified handle.

I mean, if an Event "onReady" or "Error" is called he sends a sendMessage() to a specified handle with lparam and wparam. Some COM Users use languages, that doesnt support COM-Events. In my situation Sybase Powerbuilder. At the Moment I have to make some loops that wait for PDF Creator actions, like printing. It would be better when i can get a message from PDF Creator that he is finished.

I think this feature need for you 10 - 20 minutes to solve. - 2 new functions csetErrorEventHandle() and csetReadyEventHandle()
- In the Ready and Error events you only need to call
sendMessage( ,... )

Drawing to PDF Converter

A while back my company got talked into a software package called ANVIL Express for our drawing package. Now we want to do batch conversion of approx. 7,000 files from the Anvil AXP extension to a PDF format. Does anyone have any experience with this process that would be willing to share their knowledge?

Also we plan to be changing to either Autocad or Solidworks shortly. So these 2-D Anvil files will also need to be converted to either format through an export of a DXF or IGES converter.

Once again, ANY help would be greatly welcomed.

 J.

Developement suggestion for pdfcreator

In future I would like to see some OCR engine integrated to pdfcreator.

For example tesseract
http://code.google.com/p/tesseract-ocr/

Probably tesseract already has mature code that could easily be integrated to pdfcreator - unfortunately I dont know so much of programming.

Improvement suggestion for Transtool

For the usage of Transtool it could be helpful if the "edit" window which pops up could be fitted with "back" and "forward" buttons in addition to "cancel" and "save" to jump to the next line in the language.ini-file without leaving the "edit" window.

For example long entries and line breaks are not displayed properly in the main Transtool window.
Checking the languages for correct translation it takes some time and a lot of clicks to close and reopen the "edit" window to view the next entry correctly.

Regards,
Magnus

Hello,

after quite a while of problems we have now upgraded the pdfforge.org server and now the site should run much smoother, even on high-traffic times of the day.

I hope this has impact on the felt behaviour of the site :)

regards,
