PDFCreator 1.4.1 released

Two weeks after PDFCreator 1.4.0 we have released version 1.4.1 today. We are happy to do so, because this version fixes some bugs. Especially the problem some users have encountered which caused PDFCreator to not work at all has been fixed. This has been due to a "misunderstanding" between two components of PDFCreator, which looked in different paths if the environment variables TEMP and TMP were set to different folders.

Together with some smaller fixes and improvements, we have also implemented very basic support for managed group policies. PDFCreator settings can now be set through group policies. You have to note though: The settings user interface will show the policy values and will not deactivate the respective UI elements. If the users saves the settings, the policy values will be saved to the user's registry.

We hope that you enjoy the new version!

Re: PDFCreator 1.4.1 released

Windows 7 says "339 component mscomct2.ocx is not registered", version 1.4.0 works fine.

Chinese symbols can not be used in "Document Title" field.

Re: PDFCreator 1.4.1 released

Unfortunately, still does not work.

Win2003 32 bit install. Print dialog box does not appear when I print to pdf from any app. Temp and Tmp variables set the same c:\temp. It will only work printing a test page through the PDFCreator print monitor.

I notice that the product is creating two temp directories

C:\Temp\1\PdfCreator\Spool (where it appears that it is looking to pickup from queue)

and

C:\Temp\PdfCreator\Spool (where it is actually creating the jobs

Wasted a lot of time trying to get this to work. After digging through the forums it looks like this has been a problem since 1.3 and you still have not been able to fix it despite a lot of forum activity and cooperation.
