How is PDFCreator licensed: per user, per device, or per server?
PDFCreator is licensed per device or per server, never per user.
- Professional: one license per workstation. You purchase a single license key with the number of activations you need.
- Terminal Server: one license per server, with unlimited concurrent users on that server. The right fit for Citrix and Windows RDS environments.
- Server: one license per server. Users don't install anything on their machines (the server handles all conversions).
Are updates and new versions included with my license?
Yes. Every update we release is included while your license is active. This can include new features, bug fixes, security improvements, and major version upgrades.
Updates are released several times a year. You can see what's in each release in our release notes.
How do I manage my licenses?
The easiest way for you to manage your licenses is through the customer portal. Here, you can buy licenses, extend them and even remove them! If you need any assistance, our customer service team is always happy to assist.

Can I use PDFCreator to edit PDFs?
